This Video Should Help:
Hey everyone! I’m Jack Devine, and I am a hockey draft analyst for the NHL Network. As we approach the 2021 NHL Draft, I wanted to take some time to share some of my insights on this year’s crop of players.
Who is Jack Devine?
Jack Devine is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who was drafted in the first round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks. He is currently playing with the OHL’s Niagara IceDogs.
Why is he eligible for the 2021 NHL draft?
He was born in 2003, making him 18 years old as of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. The age limit for draft eligibility is usually 20, but an exception is made for players who turn 18 during the calendar year of the draft – like our friend here. So while most of his fellow prospects are still in junior hockey or playing college hockey, he’s already eligible to be drafted into the NHL.
The other thing to note is that he’s only eligible for the 2021 NHL Entry Draft because he didn’t declare himself for the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. If he had, he would have been ineligible for the 2021 draft and would have had to wait until 2022. But he chose to wait a year, which makes him eligible for this year’s draft instead.
So there you have it! That’s why our friend here is eligible for the 2021 NHL Entry Draft despite being a bit younger than most of the other prospects out there.
What are his strengths?
NHL 2021 draft prospect, has great size and strength. His skating is very good for a big man and he uses his body well to protect the puck and make plays. He has a good shot and can score goals. He also has good vision and hockey sense and makes smart plays with the puck. He’s not afraid to play physical either and will stand up for his teammates.
What are his weaknesses?
NHL 2021 draft prospect, Dylan Guenther is an exceptional talent. His skating and puck skills are top notch and he has the ability to take over a game offensively. However, there are a few areas of his game that need improvement.
First and foremost, Guenther needs to work on his defensive game. He can be caught out of position at times and needs to learn how to better use his body and stick to defend against opposing players. Secondly, he must improve his decision-making with the puck; too often he makes poor decisions when leading the rush or making plays in the offensive zone which can result in turnovers and scoring chances for the other team. Lastly, Guenther must add strength to his frame; he is currently on the smaller side and can be knocked off the puck easily by larger defenders.
Despite these weaknesses, Dylan Guenther is a highly skilled player with immense potential. He should be a high first round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft.
How does he compare to other prospects?
For the 2021 NHL draft, Connor Bedard is considered one of the top prospects. He’s a skilled forward with good speed and vision. Some scouts have compared him to other top prospects like Owen Power and Simon Edvinsson.
What are scouts saying about him?
NHL scouts are raving about the potential of 2021 draft prospect, Jack Hughes. They say that he has the potential to be a game-changer and a difference-maker at the NHL level. They love his speed, skill and vision on the ice, and believe that he has all the tools to be a successful player at the highest level.
What is his draft projection?
NHL 2021 draft prospects are difficult to predict because so much can change between now and the time of the draft. However, most scouts believe that defenseman Owen Power is a top-10 talent. He has great size (6’5″, 222 lbs), skating ability, and hockey IQ. While he still needs to work on his strength and puck skills, he has all the tools to be a very good NHL defenseman.
Where could he potentially be drafted?
The 2021 NHL Entry Draft will be held on July 23ufffd24, 2021, at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec. It will be the first time that the draft is held in Montreal since the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
