Who Has the Most Goals in the NHL This Season?

We’re taking a look at who has the most goals in the NHL this season. As of right now, there are a few players who are tied for the lead. See who they are and how many goals they’ve scored so far.

Sidney Crosby

Sidney Crosby is on pace for his best statistical season yet and could end up leading the NHL in goals scored by the end of the season. With 33 goals in 31 games, Crosby is currently tied for the league lead with Tampa Bay’s Nikita Kucherov. If he can maintain his current pace, he would finish the season with approximately 52 goals.

Alexander Ovechkin

As of February 12th, 2020, Alexander Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals is leading the NHL in goals with 43. He is followed by Leon Draisaitl of the Edmonton Oilers with 42 goals, and then David Pastrnak of the Boston Bruins with 41 goals.

Patrick Kane

As of December 3rd, 2019, Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks has the most goals in the NHL this season with 19.

Jamie Benn

Jamie Benn of the Dallas Stars is currently leading the NHL in goals with 33. However, there are several players close behind him, including Tyler Seguin of the Stars (32), Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks (31), and Vladimir Tarasenko of the St. Louis Blues (30).

Tyler Seguin

As of February 17th, Tyler Seguin of the Dallas Stars has the most goals in the NHL this season with 33. Seguin is followed by Tampa Bay Lightning’s Nikita Kucherov, who has 31 goals.

Jeff Carter

Jeff Carter is currently leading the NHL in goals with 15. He is closely followed by Stamkos with 14 and Ovechkin with 13. With such a close race, it’s anyone’s guess who will end up on top at the end of the season.

Joe Pavelski

Joe Pavelski of the San Jose Sharks has the most goals in the NHL this season with 41.

Vladimir Tarasenko

With 44 goals so far this season, Vladimir Tarasenko of the St. Louis Blues is leading the NHL in goals scored. Tarasenko, who is in his sixth season with the Blues, has been one of the league’s most consistent goal-scorers over the past few years, averaging over 34 goals per season.

Rick Nash

As of right now, Rick Nash of the New York Rangers has the most goals in the NHL this season with 42. Nash is followed closely by Alexander Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals with 41 goals.

Jakub Voracek

Entering the NHL season, there was much fanfare surrounding the league’s leading scorer from last year, Tampa Bay’s Nikita Kucherov. However, through the first quarter of the 2019-20 season, it is Philadelphia’s Jakub Voracek who is leading the way in goals scored. Voracek has tallied 15 goals in just 24 games, which is good for a tie for sixth place in the league with Colorado’s Mikko Rantanen.
